Due to the ongoing closure of the Olympia pool we needed to find a new winter home, and are glad to have found it in the Gardyne Sports Centre (many thanks to Stewart again for the tip). Despite the move to Friday evening, we had a good number of people show up to this year’s Try Dives.

A few lumps and bumps were to be expected for the first try dive organised at the Gardyne pool, but nothing could stop nine try divers from having their first underwater breathing experience and doing the odd forward role.

With one day’s experience under our belts, this week’s try dive was nothing but a well oiled machine…sort of…for our standards at least. This week ten people got their fins wet, among them a visitor who traveled over from Germany. Seems like our fame is spreading to the continent…

All in all, two very nice evenings with lots of friendly faces and new experiences.
